Octopus to supply renewable energy to EV charge points

Octopus Electric Vehicles, Octopus Energy, and Engenie have joined forces to supply 100% renewable electricity to the rapid charge point network being installed at 200 Marston’s restaurants nationwide.

To mark the partnership, Octopus, Engenie and Marston’s will hold a special ‘Discovery Day’ event on Saturday April 13 at The Bakehouse, Welwyn Garden City; the first site to receive the chargers as part of the planned roll-out.

Locals can learn more about electric vehicles and are encouraged to come and test drive a range of zero-emissions electric vehicles.

Octopus Electric Vehicles is also giving Welwyn Garden City locals who already have an EV three months of free unlimited charging at any Engenie rapid charger. EV drivers who live within 15 miles can enjoy the offer that runs from April through June 2019 by registering for an RFID card at: octopusev.com/ev-rewards.

Engenie plans to install 400 rapid charge points at 200 Marston’s sites across the UK by Dec 2020.
