Addressing Climate Change and meeting ambitious net zero targets is high on the Local,  Regional and National agendas. Our Energy & Climate Change Team is working hard to develop and implement our detailed Climate Change Action Plan and Environment Strategy across the Council and the Kirklees district.

An exciting opportunity has arisen and we’re looking for an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about Climate Change who can work alongside the Energy & Climate Change Group Leader and Senior Climate Change Officer in developing and implementing the Climate Change Programme.

The role will support the Group Leader to deliver the Council’s commitments to reducing its carbon footprint and improving resilience to climate change. This includes the development and implementation of the programme, and building and maintaining highly effective working relationships and representing the Council with key stakeholders across the service team and other Council services and partners.

You will also oversee complex Climate Change Projects will work to support the wider Energy and Climate Change service area. If you have good experience with analysing and interpreting data, are a good project communicator and can work well across teams and organisations then we would like to hear from you.
