Delhi schools closed untill further orders due to air pollution.
After remaining shut since November 13, physical classes in schools, colleges and other educational institutions had resumed on Monday 29 November.
However, the Supreme Court pulled up the government for resuming classes amid a rise in the air pollution levels in the city.
Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has therefore now said that physical classes in Delhi will be suspended from December 3 until further orders.
Board exams will continue as scheduled and teaching-learning activities will be conducted online.
‘We had reopened schools considering the forecast that air quality would improve. However, the air pollution levels have increased again and we have decided to shut schools from Friday till further orders,’ Mr Rai said.
