Coronavirus (COVID-19)  Air Quality News continues to monitor the evolving situation regarding Coronavirus, following the guidelines from The World Health Organisation, Public Health England and the British Government.

Our primary concern is the health and safety of any delegate who may attend one of our conferences. Currently the overall risk to people within the UK is low and there are no restrictions on trade or events such as those hosted by AQN.

At this stage we believe our Northern Air Quality Conference scheduled for the 28th April 2020 at the Midland Hotel in Manchester will take place. We will monitor developments and should the advice from PHE change, we have plans to re-schedule our event to a date in September 2020.

We will be working with our venues to ensure comprehensive cleaning prior to the event.

The advice from Public Health England is to wash your hands regularly and thoroughly, to carry tissues to capture sneezes and if you do feel unwell, seek medical advice.  If any of our delegates have travelled to the UK from the following places stay indoors and avoid contact with other people, even if you do not have symptoms:

  • anywhere in Italy on or after 9 March
  • specific areas in northern Italy in the last 14 days
  • Iran in the last 14 days
  • Hubei province in China in the last 14 days
  • Daegu, Cheongdo or Gyeongsan in South Korea in the last 14 days
