Battling smog in Poland

In support of this year’s International Day of Clean Air for blue skies, Clean Air Fund have compiled a series of videos which showcase examples of how the Fund’s grants have enabled clean air campaigners to fight air pollution around the world. 

This is the story of Rybnik in Poland where the number of smog days were reduced from 130 to 12 days a year. The combined efforts of Polish Smog Alert and Forum Energii with the local authorities turned the ‘smog capital of Poland’ into a pioneer for clean air in Poland and beyond. Emil Nagalewski from Polish Smog Alert and Anita Cieślicka from Forum Energii tell their story.
