Chief medical officer calls for tougher air pollution standards
The government’s senior advisor on public health, Professor Dame Sally Davies, has called for tougher standards on air pollution, in a report published today (2 March).
The potentially harmful impact of indoor air pollution on children is to be the subject of a major study for the first time in the UK, with experts saying it needs to be taken as seriously as outdoor pollutants.
