Think Air and SUEZ announce partnership to target UK air quality

Two leading environmental services firms have confirmed a new alliance in a bid to boost support for public-health projects tied to air pollution.

Think Air and SUEZ have announced a partnership aimed at better targeting UK air quality issues, with sights set on both indoor and outdoor pollution.

South Wales-based Think Air- launched in 2021, and has already had a major impact on the air quality sector thanks to its groundbreaking analytical approach to assessing the relative public health risk from exposure to various types of pollutant, pushing boundaries in terms of diagnostics, modelling and on-the-ground solutions, with its research and development team led by Swansea University Professor Emeritus Dr Paul Lewis ­– a UK regional Clean Air Champion and driving force behind the Clean Air Act for Wales.

‘Improving the lives of the millions affected by air pollution in the UK and beyond is why we launched Think Air. This alliance with SUEZ now enables us to reach new public sector and private clients currently grappling with urgent environmental issues,’ said Graeme Thomson, Managing Director at Think Air. 

In contrast, SUEZ boasts a 160-year history delivering environmental services, including those aimed at improving air quality and reducing ambient and indoor pollution. The newly forged partnership ties in with the company’s aims of working with more communities and industry leaders in Britain. A significant emphasis has been placed on improving approaches to and analysis of relevant datasets.  

‘It is our key priority to provide a full value chain air quality service with the capacity to comprehensively diagnose, monitor, survey, and integrate solutions that address public health impacts associated with poor air quality,’ said Craig Lewis, Business Development Manager of SUEZ Air & Climate Division. ‘Think Air’s integration of its air quality data management service and corresponding public health expertise will prove to be complementary to SUEZ’s existing air quality portfolio. This will encourage correct decisions for the benefit of public health.’
