A substantial 10-year contract has been awarded to We Care 4 Air by the Environment Agency for the installation and maintenance of new Gas Chromatograph / FID systems at four air quality stations throughout the UK.
We Care 4 Air are the official UK distributor for Chromatotec and the new equipment includes the airmoVOC C2 – C12 analysers capable of analysing 88 compounds from the very lightest to the heaviest of VOCs from PPT to PPB levels. The addition of the airmoVOC into the system allows the Environment Agency to now also analyse Oxygenated VOCs in real time.
OVOCs play a significant role in atmospheric chemistry, particularly in the formation of ozone and other secondary pollutants. These stations will become part of the ACTRIS network measuring more than 30 VOC’s at trace level every hour.
This key contract award affirms We Care 4 Air’s increasing strength in the air quality market and supports the business’s ambitious growth plans.
Vanessa Ambler CEO of We Care 4 Air said ‘We are delighted to have secured this contract with the Environment Agency after a 3-year selection process. We are a trusted supplier of air quality services globally, and it is a genuine honour to be recognised by your home Environment Agency and see their commitment to supporting UK SME’s.’
The new equipment will be installed over the next year at air quality stations in Marylebone Road, Eltham, Auchencorth Moss and one system is already in place at Chilbolton, Hampshire.
