Due to the forthcoming retirement of our current Corporate Director, we now have an amazing opportunity for an exceptional, experienced and dynamic leader looking to make the next step in
their career, ensuring that we continue to deliver outstanding services to our residents, communities, businesses and visitors, to protect and nurture our outstanding natural environment, and steer us towards a low carbon future.

Reporting to our Chief Executive, in this high-profile, strategic leadership role you will lead the development and delivery of our approach to climate change and environment across the diverse
range of front-line services within the portfolio. You’ll play a key role in leading the authority’s commitment to deliver exceptional services and your leadership of our large, diverse and dispersed
workforce will help us to deliver our ambitious environmental agenda, whilst maximising productivity, improving collaboration and driving culture change.

Supporting our commitment to deliver a cleaner, greener future for our county in an inclusive and sustainable way, you’ll build, nurture and sustain effective multi-agency partnerships across the county and the wider region, ensuring the delivery of integrated, joined-up, fit for purpose and responsive services. Equally important to us is your style of leadership, you’ll be a role model for best practice and innovation, an environmental champion, able to inspire and encourage our committed, dedicated workforce and partners to deliver on our key priorities across our communities.
