Scotland to ‘phase out’ diesel and petrol vehicles by 2032
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced a target to phase out the use of petrol and diesel vehicles in the country by 2032, alongside proposals to establish four low emission zones by 2020.
Provisional agreement has been reached in Brussels on reforms of rules around type-approval for new cars, which it is claimed will “modernise” control tests on car emissions data.
