Eminox launches replacement DPF range

Vehicle exhaust specialist Eminox has launched a new range of original equipment-quality Euro VI replacement diesel particulate filters (DPFs).

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the company has launched the new line at the Automechanika show in Birmingham this week.

Eminox already supplies some of Europe’s largest vehicle OEMs with emission control systems which incorporate DPFs.

The new aftermarket range shares the same ISO and TS-certified design and manufacturing facilities and is backed by Eminox’s 40 years of experience in emissions reduction.

The DPF is a key component of Euro VI systems, collecting soot particles from exhaust gases before they leave the vehicle.

Eminox recommends that DPFs are checked, and cleaned if required, at every service. If not maintained correctly, a DPF can become blocked or even damaged, forcing its replacement and increasing vehicle downtime.

Eminox was one of the first suppliers of DPFs to heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers, working with Volvo on Euro III emissions reduction from 1991.

Regulations

Neil Koston, Eminox’s Aftermarket product manager, said: “As tighter emissions regulations come into force, we expect the need for Euro VI DPF replacement to grow significantly across Europe. Until now the only safe option in case of problems was to buy from the OEM. Our new range offers a high-quality, cost-effective alternative, backed by a full warranty. Eminox’s emissions reduction experience and British manufacturing expertise really show that quality doesn’t have to cost the earth.”

The type-approved DPFs are OBD compatible and certified to UNECE Regulation 49 — the same standard as the vehicle itself.

As they are BER compliant, fitting an Eminox DPF does not compromise any remaining vehicle warranty, the company says. They are also backed by a two-year, 200,000km warranty from Eminox. All required gaskets and clamps are included at no extra cost.
