Awards and Conference dates for October

Next month is set to be a busy time in the Air Quality field with the annual National Air Quality Conference on October 1 plus the inaugural National Air Quality Awards ceremony in Bristol on October 22.

Conference

The conference takes place on October 1st in central Birmingham and is supported by PTEG, the Passenger Transport Executive Group.

The event will hear from a range of expert speakers including from Defra, the Scottish Government, Transport for Greater Manchester, ClientEarth, the SMMT, Emissions Analytics and York City Council.

It is likely to be one of the first opportunities to hear about Defra’s proposed reshaped plan to improve air quality in the UK to meet European Union requirements.

And, the event, for which seats are now available, will also cover a range of topics from diesel issues through to public transport provision, dust, monitoring and local authority experiences.

Three weeks later, on the evening of 22 October in Bristol, the ceremony for the National Air Quailty Awards will be held.

Entering the awards is simple and straightforward. You need only to submit a summary of your entry of about 500-750 words, supply some supporting information such as technical details, testimonials and pictures.
