In the run up to this year’s Clean Air Night, organisers Global Action Plan are holding a webinar on Monday 13th January at 2pm.
Clean Air Night itself is being held on Wednesday 22 January 2025 and, as in previous years, it will be focussing specifically on the dangers of domestic wood burning.
Clean Air Night was first held in 2023, as a companion event to Clean Air Day which had been a focal point in the fight against air pollution since its launch in 2017.
This year’s iteration takes a three-pronged attack on the subject:
The Webinar is free for anyone to attend and speakers so far confirmed are:
• Professor Stephen Holgate – MRC Clinical Professor of Immunopharmacology, University of Southampton, and UKRI Clean Air Champion and Special Advisor to the RCP on Air Quality
• Dr Mark Miller – Reader in Air Pollution and Health at the Centre for Cardiovascular Science, University of Edinburgh
• Dr Rohit Chakraborty – Environmental Public Health Scientist, Air Quality and Public Health (AQPH, UKHSA)
• Dr Naomi Adelson – GP and Co-Chair, Greener Practice North London

You should also register even if you can’t attend on the day, but would like to receive a recording of the webinar afterwards.
