The impact of air pollution on the Himalayas is a global problem

A new report by Dr Phil Porter, a glacier scientist of thirty years, suggests that the effect of black carbon – originating from fossil fuel combustion – on glacial ice and snow in the Himalayas is greater than many people appreciate and has implications on a global scale.
