Air Quality Consultants Ltd appoints new director
Chris Whall, formerly of Amec Foster Wheeler, joins Stephen Moorcroft and Prof. Duncan Laxen as the consultancy firm’s third director
Chris Whall has been appointed as a director of Air Quality Consultants Ltd, joining executive director Stephen Moorcroft and managing director Professor Duncan Laxen to help lead a team of 18 air quality consultants at the firm.

Formerly a director of environmental assessment at UK-based multinational consultancy Amec Foster Wheeler where he was responsible for a team of almost 200 staff, Mr Whall has almost 15 years’ experience as an air quality consultant.
He first joined asset management and certification firm Bureau Veritas — then called Stanger Science & Environment — in 1999, when Stephen Moorcroft was the director of the air quality department, and went on to produce air quality assessments for major UK infrastructure projects and present evidence at public inquiries.
Mr Whall is also a Chartered Environmentalist and a member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM).
Air Quality Consultants, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, has offices in London and Bristol works on a wide range of projects, with particular expertise in the assessment of the air quality impacts of airports.
