London cabbies offered funding to reduce taxi emissions
London taxi drivers with diesel cabs between 10 and 15 years old are being offered up to £5,000 in incentives to switch to lower emission vehicles, under a scheme being overseen by Transport for London (TfL).
Four MPs have lent their support to a campaign by the fuel tax lobby group FairFuelUK calling for the government’s air quality plan not to include ‘punitive’ taxes for drivers of diesel vehicles.
